We Believe in the Power of Local

The San Diego Newsletterwas born out of a simple idea: that the best way to love where you live is to know what's happening around you.

The People Behind the Newsletter

San Diego Newsletter Team

Editorial Team

The San Diego Newsletter is written by a small team of locals who live, eat, and spend weekends in San Diego and San Diego County.

We read the same event calendars, try the same new restaurants, and spend the same weekends at Balboa Park, La Jolla, and Little Italy. This is the newsletter we wish we had when we got here.

Take a minute to read a few articles or browse the events this week. If you find it useful, drop a subscribe.

Our Story

San Diego packs a lot into one place. Between the beach towns, the farmers markets, arts and culture in Balboa Park, and neighborhoods like La Jolla and Little Italy, there is always something worth knowing about.

But keeping up with it all can be overwhelming. Event listings are scattered across a dozen websites. New restaurants open without fanfare. A pop-up at the bay shows up and disappears. Community gatherings slip under the radar.

That is why we created the San Diego Newsletter: one source that brings the best of San Diego and San Diego County straight to your inbox every week. No algorithms, no paywalls, no endless scrolling. Just the stuff that matters to people who live here.
