9:30 AM – 1:30 PM·Little Italy, West Date Street
The Little Italy Mercato is the largest farmers market in San Diego County. The Saturday market fills six city blocks on West Date Street and runs from 8am to 2pm. A smaller Wednesday market runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Both operate year-round, rain or shine. More than 50 vendors sell locally grown produce, fresh seafood, pastured eggs and meat, artisanal cheeses, baked goods, flowers, and crafts. Live music plays on Saturday mornings.

4 PM – 8 PM·Newport Avenue, Ocean Beach
The Ocean Beach Farmers Market runs every Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm, year-round, on the 4900 block of Newport Avenue between Cable and Bacon Streets. The Ocean Beach MainStreet Association runs it as a state-certified farmers market with more than 100 vendors selling produce, flowers, baked goods, honey, and hot food. The market accepts SNAP/EBT, Market Match, and WIC. Live music and street performers play alongside the stalls during the weekly Wednesday Night Out.

3 PM – 7:30 PM·North Park Way, North Park
The North Park Thursday Market runs every Thursday from 3pm to 7:30pm, year-round. It sets up on North Park Way between Ray Street and Granada Avenue, behind the North Park Theatre and parking garage near 30th Street. North Park Main Street runs it as a California certified farmers market with more than 30 vendors selling local produce, flowers, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and prepared international food. CalFresh shoppers can use SNAP/EBT at the info booth and double their benefits up to $15 per market visit through Market Match. The market operates rain or shine.

9 AM – 2 PM·Hillcrest, University Avenue
The Hillcrest Farmers Market runs every Sunday from 9am to 2pm, year-round, including holidays. The market currently sets up on University Avenue between Herbert Street and Park Boulevard, a temporary site while the Normal Street Promenade is built. More than 175 vendors sell locally grown produce, prepared food, flowers, arts, crafts, and gifts. The market does not accept EBT, though several produce vendors take WIC checks.

9 AM – 1 PM·La Jolla Elementary School
The La Jolla Open Aire Market runs every Sunday from 9am to 1pm, year-round, rain or shine. It sets up on the grounds of La Jolla Elementary School at the corner of Girard Avenue and Genter Street. The market started in 1998 as a school fundraiser and now hosts more than 120 vendors selling produce, flowers, cheese, pasture-raised meat, eggs, baked goods, and prepared food. Proceeds support La Jolla Elementary School.
