Comics of Care: Healing Through Graphic Medicine

Comics of Care: Healing Through Graphic Medicine is on view from June 29 to September 13 at Sally T. WongAvery Library in La Jolla. The exhibit pulls from the library's Graphic Medicine Collection and runs during building open hours.

The Exhibit The show features comics, graphic novels, and memoirs about facing illness and finding care. Each piece uses visual storytelling to capture health experiences that are hard to put into words.

The Series UC San Diego librarians Jeffery Loo, Karen Heskett, and Zemirah Ngow curated this exhibit. It is part of The Science of Story series, a UC San Diego celebration of storytelling held during Comic-Con week.

This exhibit is for patients, caregivers, and clinicians seeking a deeper look at health and recovery through art.
