Dr. Seuss's Boids & Beasties | Exhibition

UC San Diego's Geisel Library is showing Dr. Seuss's Boids & Beasties. The exhibition features original drawings of whimsical creatures by La Jolla resident Theodor Seuss Geisel. It runs during regular building hours.

The display is on the 2nd floor in the Exhibition Gallery and adjacent hallway. Items come from the Dr. Seuss Collection, which contains over 20,000 original drawings, sketches, notebooks, and manuscript drafts donated to the Library.

The collection documents Geisel's work from his high school days in 1919 through 1991. His flamboyant illustrations and clever rhymes created iconic characters like the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, and the Lorax.
