Dr. Seuss's Boids & Beasties | Exhibition

This exhibition features select items from the UC San Diego Library's Dr. Seuss Collection, the personal collection of Theodor Seuss Geisel donated after his death in 1991.

What You'll See Dr. Seuss's Boids & Beasties includes original drawings by Geisel, a long-time La Jolla resident. It showcases the whimsical and fantastical creatures he called "Boids & Beasties." You will see sketches, scrapbooks, and other works on display.

Where It Is Find the exhibition on the 2nd (main) Floor of Geisel Library. It is located in the Exhibition Gallery and the adjacent hallway towards Geisel Southwest. View it during the building's open hours.

About the Collection The larger Dr. Seuss Collection holds more than 20,000 items. It documents his creative range from 1919 through 1991. This includes original drawings, notebooks, manuscript drafts, and early student work.
