The Valley Center Library hosts a free knitting and crochet club on Saturday mornings, running from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring a pair of needles to start a project, and the library supplies the yarn and other materials. The group is open to all skill levels, including complete beginners.
Regulars and newcomers work side by side, and staff help first-timers cast on and get started. The Valley Center Library is on Cole Grade Road in inland North County. The club gives local crafters a standing weekend spot to work on projects and pick up the basics.
